ALAN P. WOODRUFF
Alan P. Woodruff has degrees in chemical engineering [BS/MS: Virginia Tech], administration [PhD: Harvard], and law [JD: Florida State / LLM: U. of Washington]. Alan has practiced as a management and research consultant for dozens of state and federal agencies and international organizations. As a lawyer, Alan has twenty years of experience as a trial attorney representing clients in tax and constitutional (civil rights) matters. He is politically active and was a Democrat Party candidate for U.S. Representative. He has more than fifty published articles, is a contributing author to books of education and economics and is the author of one legal reference book. He is a member of the North Carolina Writers Network and the author of five novels: Kaleidoscope, The Medallion, The Nominee, The Witness and Triple Cross. Alan lives on the coast in North Carolina. KATHRYN COPLEY
Kathy Copley holds degrees in education, with minors in english and government [BA: Ohio University] and psychology [PhD: U. of Kansas]. She has taught creative writing and has ten years experience as a magazine columnist and editor. As a free-lance editor she had edited dozens of legal brief (federal court) and doctoral discertations, numerous grant applications and four novels. She is a voracious reader of both fiction (thriller, suspense and legal) and non- fiction (biographical and historical). She is also a member of the High Country Writers.
